I have a good excuse this time

I know, I know, I haven't updated in forever, and this isn't a real update either. But I just want you all to know that for the next two weeks I have a legitimate excuse, as I will be out of the country touring with the USF choir. When I get back I will have a lot to say, so be ready to read a lot.

I'm not dead yet!

Just so nobody gets worried or anything, I did survive the end of the semester and am home enjoying my family. Right now I keep myself very busy working at the salad bar, finishing Christmas shopping and just enjoying my family. A more detailed report will follow, but right now we're going to SuFu to look for shoes that I can wear for all my choir concerts in Europe next month.

my theory class thinks I'm a genius

I find it all rather funny, but it's a great story. Last night our class had a study session, with our teacher no less. In the course of the night i ended up teaching them easier methods for finding minor key signatures. They also labeled me a math genius simply for comparing flats and sharps to negative and positive numbers. Whatever. Weird things like that just work best for me. And they liked them too, so they were very happy with me for teaching me. The final was this morning and Nancy had donuts for us. And now I have the rest of the day to study for philosophy. Finals are in full swing and the semester is almost over. Have a day.

Attempting to regain my sanity

Now, I realize that this may seem a strange way to regain sanity--doing many foolish things in the space of a single, very short day--but it seems to be working.

Last night I dyed Dianna's hair black. It looks a lot better than when we did the same thing last year. And eventually we're adding a bit of color, but I'll let her tell you about that herself.

A bunch of us randomly went searching for a movie last night around midnight. Unable to find what we wanted, we got snacks and watched something else back at the dorm. Then when we finally went to bed (we never finished the movie) it was nearly 3:00, and Dianna and I didn't get up until around 2:00 this afternoon. Then Josh came over for a while and random fun ensued. Then Mandy and I decided to walk to Taco John's for dinner. It's actually pretty nice out and not that cold, though it started misting on us on the way beck. Now I'm off to see the play on campus, so I'll let you know later about the rest of the insanity that I am expecting.

I am living on injury row

I realize I haven't blogged for a while and have a lot of ground to cover, but first things first. Dianna broke her toe last Thursday and passed out from the pain, and today Mandy broke her arm falling down the stairs in Glidden. What with them being my roommate and neighbor, I'm starting to get worried I might be next. And since each time it escalates, I'll probably end up breaking my leg or something. ;)

Anyways, this weekend a was a server for Madrigals, and that was a lot of fun. I got to see most of the show for free, and I got to eat the food. And last night was Christmas chapel. It was probably the most awkward concert I have ever participated in, as nothing seemed to go quite as planned. I just hope Elliott is okay, he did not look well at all. My grandma was able to come to the concert, which was great. It's always nice to have a friendly face in the audience.

This weekend I was also consumed by my philosophy paper. I did finally get it done at about midnight, but I don't know how good it is. After that Dianna, Audrey, Mandy and I hung out in Mandy's room for quite a while just talking, mostly about guys. Sheesh, you'd think we were girls or something. ;)

Well, out of time for now, but I thought I'd let you all know I'm not dead or anything.
