Should I get new glasses?

Well, I've just gotten done with another busy day of work at the salad bar. Hoestly, it seemed like the whole city of Brookings decided to patronize us today. But I don't really feel like talking about work. Except to say that I got my first paycheck today. Woot! It's only got two days worth of hours, but still, it's exciting.

So I was at the eye doctor yesterday and I may be getting new glasses. My prescription really hasn't changed that much (in fact, my left eye, which I learned yesterday is my dominant eye, seems to be improving) but they have a two-for-one deal and Kevin is getting new ones so I might as well. So I've been looking through all the frames they have to try and find some that fit my personality as well as the ones I have now. It's been interesting. Glasses are really fun to try on because they change one's whole perception of a person.

And now for something completely different...

So I've discovered that I don't have to work next Saturday, which just happens to be the day of the Rise Above free music festival in Orange City, Iowa featuring Jeff Deyo, Everlife, and Appolagetix, among others. Anyone else thinking what I'm thinking?

i'll go if you'll pick me up! next saturday, the 18th, right? And it's free? heck yes. I love free stuff. :D So...yes, we'll talk about that. I'm glad you got paid. Getting paid is fun, indeed. And you should get like Buddy Holly black frame glasses. *teehee* just kidding! those take the right kind of face. I don't really know anything about glasses, so i can't help you there. I'm lucky and don't have to have them! bwhaha.

Anyhoo. I'm rambling and i'm excited becasue Dad suggeted going to movie tonight. I may actually get out of the house! haha!

^____^

Drip, drip, drop
Little April shower
Beating a tune
As you fall all around

Drip, drip, drop
Little April shower
What can compare
To your beautiful sound

Drip, drip, drop
When the sky is cloudy
Your pretty music
Can brighten the day

Drip, drip, drop
When the sun says howdy
You say goodbye right away

Drip, drip drop
Little April shower
Beating a tune
Ev'rywhere that you fall

Drip, drip drop
Little April shower
I'm getting wet
And I don't care at all

Drip, drop, drip, drop
I'll never be afraid
Of a good little
Gay little
April serenade

just a continuation about rain.

Well, I do have to work tomorrow morning, but thankfully I'll be done at 1:00. And it shouldn't be too stressful because there's less to do on the weekend and Deb (my manager) won't be there. ;) Not that I'd ever slack off, it's just easier to work without the pressure of the hovering presence of the manager.

Oh, and thanks for the rain. ;) :D
