I've been having trouble getting up in the morning this week, probably because I've had fewer things to get up for now that my internship has ended. In order to help me with this, God sent a riding lawnmower and a big noisy truck that may have been compacting leaves or transporting said lawnmower to park below my window at 8:00 this morning and make an awful lot of noise. I suppose I shouldn't be too annoyed, since it did make me get up pretty much on time for only the second time this week. Though, it's hard to care much about keeping a schedule when my earliest commitment (other than trying to get some homework done) is at 12:30. Most weeks I would be starting my shift of tutoring at this time, but today I am headed out on a SCoSAA (Student Chapter of the Society of American Archivists) field trip, for which my tutoring schedule had to be changed. We're headed to the Mount Auburn Cemetery, which is one of the oldest in the area, and prettiest (people used to have Sunday picnics there) and even today you have to pay a fee to get in. We get in for free today, which if why I'm going. The site is also one of the few cemeteries anywhere to have it's archives on site, which we will also tour. It should be a good time. I'll try to post pictures of it within the next few days, along with a short recap of my trip to Salem last weekend.
